After researching the net and calling Crutchfield for an adapter to use an aftermarket receiver, I decided to take matters into my own hands. Nothing was available. And, now I have an Alpine 7897 receiver running my mids/tweets >200hz and the factory amps are running the four subs <200hz. So, it is possible to wire up the factory amps to any receiver. Its actually extremely easy to do. I highly recommend Alpine CD players - but only with the Bass Engine Pro! This setup blows the crap out of any Ford stock system. It actually has audible vocals! Ford's stock systems wipe out all vocals. The stock speakers are not too bad. For my 2006 Fusion SEL with the Audiphile System, Crutchfield finally has the wiring adapters to make using the factory amps/subs easier. I installed an after market sub, so the factory amp/subs are not being used. |
